Hylenex

Hylenex

Whether you’re seeking to adjust the results of a previous filler treatment or looking to dissolve the excess product, our skilled practitioners can help. Hylenex/Hyaluronidase is injected to break down undesired Hyaluronic acid filler results. Multiple sessions may be needed for desired outcomes. Please note that patients should wait for a minimum of two weeks before evaluating the results to decide whether additional Hylenex treatment is necessary or if they wish to reinstate filler. Schedule a consultation with one of our experienced providers to discuss how Hylenex/Hyaluronidase can assist in achieving your desired aesthetic outcome.

Pre-Treatment Instructions

Arnica Montana tablets can be taken for three days before your appointment to minimize potential bruising. Topical Arnica can also be applied. To further reduce the risk of bruising, limit the consumption of alcohol and avoid blood-thinning medications such as fish oil, aspirin, and ibuprofen. If you are on prescribed medication, please consult your prescribing provider before discontinuing use.

Post-Treatment Instructions

Bruising and swelling is a potential side effect of injections and may occur. Please note that more than one treatment may be necessary, but it’s advisable to wait for two weeks before assessing results to determine if more Hylenex is needed or if you wish to reinstate filler.
