Pre-Treatment Instructions

Arnica Montana tablets can be taken for three days before your appointment to minimize potential bruising. Topical Arnica can also be applied. To further reduce the risk of bruising, limit the consumption of alcohol and avoid blood-thinning medications such as fish oil, aspirin, and ibuprofen. If you are on prescribed medication, please consult your prescribing provider before discontinuing use

Post-Treatment Instructions

Bruising is a potential side effect of injections and may occur. To minimize the risk of bruising and optimize results, avoid extreme heat or cold, strenuous exercise, and NSAIDs (Advil, Ibuprofen, Aspirin). Massaging the treated area, wearing tight headgear, or lying face down within the first four hours of your neurotoxin treatment increases the risk of the product migrating to undesired areas causing undesirable results. It’s suggested to wait four hours after the treatment for these activities while the product settles.

FAQ

Neurotoxins are primarily used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause them. They are also effective in treating excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), particularly in the armpits. Additionally, neurotoxins can help alleviate pain, such as trap pain and jaw pain from clenching. They are also used to manage headaches and migraines, improve mood stability, and correct asymmetries.

The effects typically last between 3 to 6 months, after which treatments can be repeated to maintain the desired results.

Common side effects may include mild swelling, bruising, redness, or headaches at the injection site. Serious side effects are rare.

Results usually begin to appear within 3 to 5 days, with full results visible in about 10 to 14 days.

Yes, they can be used to treat conditions like chronic migraines, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), and certain muscular disorders.

There is minimal to no downtime. You can resume most normal activities immediately, though it’s advised to avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Additionally, do not press, lay on, or massage the treated area for up to 4 hours after the treatment.

The cost varies depending on the amount of product used and the area being treated. It’s best to consult with our clinic for specific pricing.
