Microneedling
Microneedling
Prior to your treatment, please ensure that your skin is clean. Avoid using makeup, lotions, oils, gels, or any other skincare products on the treated area. Stop the use of Retin-A, Retinols, exfoliating products, and waxing at least 3-5 days prior to and after the treatment. Refrain from chemical peels, laser treatments, and microblading for 2-4 weeks before the appointment. Patients with a history of herpes or cold sores should consider taking anti-viral medication as a preventative measure. Please note that the treatment should not be performed if you have active cold sores, sunburn, or have used antibiotics in the previous 2 weeks.
During the first 24 hours, avoid engaging in any exercise, strength training, or applying makeup during this time period. Use gentle cleansers and moisturizers as part of your post-care routine. If your skin feels dry, apply moisturizer as needed. Avoid snuggling with pets on the day of the treatment to prevent contamination of the open
microchannels on your skin. Maintain clean habits, including using clean pillowcases and avoiding touching your skin unnecessarily to reduce the risk of infection. Refrain from wearing makeup or hats to avoid introducing bacteria into the microchannels. If PRP is combined with microneedling, leave the PRP on your skin for the rest of the day without cleansing or applying other products.
